Day 20 Sun 13 Mar 11 Gold Coast

Lazy Sunday

all seasons in one day 25 °C

They boys and I were up early and we should have gone for our walk immediately but left around 7am and I realised later it was too late. It got so hot on our walk that I started to feel a bit sick. We'd jogged in one direction but walked the return. Unfortunately damage already doen. It felt almost like when I used to overheat and set off an asthma attack - nauseating, sleepy, can't process stuff. Anyway Jimmi made breakfast while I cooled down then I promptly went to bed hoping to feel better.
No such luck!
Its been raining on and off. You get a shower then the sun comes out for a couple of hours, then it rains again.
When we got up later, it was still before lunch so Jimmi went out shopping and I put on a load of washing. Still felt a little nauseated and sleepy. I lasted until all the washing was washed and dried, Jimmi back and the shopping put away. I even managed a bit of fruit but had to have a lie down again.
We both read for a bit this afternoon, and I took the boys for a walk just before it got dark. I realise I should have gone for a swim and cooled my body temperature down immediately and then eaten more food today. But when you start feeling like this, i remember what it was like with the asthma attacks, your brain doesn't seem to function very well. You just want to lie down and you feel sickly, its like your brain wants to shut down for a bit but by accident I learned that getting cool quickly either shower or pool actually helped me feel better, so I let Jim know about this so that he could help should this happen again.
He's making a chicken, tomato, capsicum and rice dish which smells great but I'm still feeling a little nautious and sleepy - had to go outside when he cut up the onion and not only because the fume stung my eyes. It does smell super yummy though. Don't think I'll have a late one even though I'm three quarters through the third book in the series! A little addictive. Jim's on the penultimate book in The Day the War Began series, also addictive.
