A day to relax
10.03.2011 - 10.03.2011 25 °C
A good night sleep and Levi's calmed down as predicted during the night andd other than scratches from nails, its looking 95% better.
Only plan today is to drive over to Jim's brother's house and swap over coffee machines. They are buying our Nespresso Cube and we're picking up our Nespresso Essenzi (the latest version is the Citiz) which Michele & Rory (parents) left up here at Christmas time for Scott & Jess to try out.
I was doing the dishes from breakfadt when I popped outside to ask Jim a question and there he was taking the boys for a pee walk! Or shoudl I say the boys were dragging him from tree to tree. I swear these dogs think their training for the Iditerod sometimes. See photo for today. Tank had just seen me and started to drag Jim, Levi then joined in. Unless you stop them pulling, they are both very powerful even Tank is the leaner build, he's definitely as strong as Levi.
After a jog up the street and a shower, we left for Forest Lake (40mins) from Helensvale. A nice planned suburb but not brand new so established lawns and nice trees, all manicured. Very soothing except when I took the boys to stretch their legs whilst Jim tried to contact Jess, and by walking passed, started off, what looked like a German Shorthaired Pointer, barking, loudly for ages.
Finally after taking Scott's suggestion as to where the coffee machine was left, we swapped them over and headed home. After a snack for lunch, I went for a nap. It was an overcast day but was hot. Not the humidity of the last few weeks so we'd had the sides and back off the Jeep for the trip.
Jim went for a swim and claimed to be awake so sat outside and read a bit. On waking up, he'd fallen asleep outside in folding chairs, so essentially everyone had had a nap!
Read some more of the first book of the series, still good. Then off to the local Woolworths, thank you Jeep sat nav, for vegies and supplies.
We ended up eating dinner earlier than usual, just when we had a short downpour. A bit of juggling the BBQ so it was under the awning or at least Jim was and pepper steak with broccoli, beans and sweet corn for dinner.
Back to reading an catching up on the blogs, ready for tomorrow when Jim takes the Jeep to Southport for a third try at solving this engine warning light problem!
Sleep well everyone.
